Structured Workplace Learning

WHAT IS IT?

Structured Workplacements are a mandatory part of a range of NSW HSC VET (industry-based Vocational Education and Training) courses like Business Services and Information Technology.

Students gain Certificate I or II in these courses, which can significantly contribute to further education and training.

Structured Workplacements enable senior students to spend time as a volunteer worker in a relevant workplace to practise and develop industry skills.

Structured Workplacement is a "hands on" experience and allows students to put into practice what they have learned in the classroom.

By providing a Structured Workplacement to local students, employers can take an active role in encouraging young people into their industry.
