COMPACT in conjunction with TAFE NSW Riverina Institute Primary Industries Centre are running a shearing school for 2011.

 

Week one commenced on 9th May - 13th May and week two will be 6th June - 10th June.

 

The response to this school has been overwhelming with over 50 applications received to cover the 16 places available for the Central Murrumbidgee. Graeme Anderson from TAFE is constantly on the lookout for further funding in the hope of running another school in 2011.

 

Week 1 went off without a hitch and according to facilitator Rob Harris from TAFE all the students worked really well together and had a great week.
