COMPACT - linking schools with the workplace

COMPACT has offices located in Wagga Wagga and Junee, to provide Career and Transition services and Structured Workplacement Learning within the Riverina. COMPACT work with schools, parents, businesses and community organisations to help all young Australians aged 13 - 19 years to get the skills, experience and professional guidance they need to make a successful transition through school and onto further education, training and employment. COMPACT provide Career and Transition Support, Structured Workplace Learning, to provide youth with useful and relevant training with hands on work experience.

This includes those young people in mainstream education, those at risk of leaving school, and those who have left school before completing Year 12 or equivalent.

COMPACT is a not for profit, community based organisation directed by a Board of Management, comprising of local industry, education and community representatives.

COMPACT is funded by the Australian Government through the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations to deliver three career development and transition support programmes:

          • CAREER AND TRANSITION SUPPORT

          • STRUCTURED WORKPLACE LEARNING

          • ADOPT A SCHOOL PROJECT
